Gujarat is known as Land of Opportunities. Renowned as Model State, Gujarat has made considerable progress in agriculture, industrial development, education etc…Upto 1990, the concept of Self-Financed Education was not known much and seats in the government colleges offering education in technical professional and medical courses such as engineering, pharmacy, computer applications, medicine, ayurved were limited and many students, who hadn’t been able to secure admissions in these courses in government colleges, had to go to other states in search of pursuing higher education. At that time, Parul Arogya Seva Mandal Trust established first self financed homoeopathy college by name “Ahmedabad Homoeopathic Medical College”. From 1990 onwards, the Trust established “Parul Group of Institutions” under which several educational institutions in Limda, Dist: Vadodara were set up offering education in the field of engineering & technology, pharmacy, architecture, homoeopathy, computer application, physiotherapy, nursing and management. Soon, PGI due to its state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities, quality education, placement facilities, became preferred destination for students of Gujarat.
Parul Group of Institutions under an Act of State Legislature viz., Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 and Gujarat Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act, 2015 became Parul University on April 21, 2015. I am pleased to state that our journey from PGI to PU has been challenging, fulfilling and satisfactory as Parul University has succeeded in attracting 25, 000 students in pursuing their studies in its 32 educational institutions of which around 800 are foreign students from 49 different countries. Our commitment to provide quality education in various fields coupled with state-of-the-art infrastructural facilties and highly qualified faculty members has yielded rich dividend as several of our students have achieved laurels in their professional and entrepreneurial journey and have credited Parul University for equipping them with the requisite skill sets, knowledge and adequate practical exposure helping them carving niche for themselves.
I firmly believe an academic institution does not merely provide degrees to its students. Instead, it helps its students in developing an inquiring attitude, inquisitive mind and open minded approach in order to assimilate knowledge and disseminate it among all. Our nation is in need of youth who can affect change and contribute to the nation development by channelizing its creative energies. If an academic institution such as ours guides today’s youth, enhances their capabilities by various means such as skill development, education and shows them the right way which shall lead them towards leading a fulfilling and accomplished lives, it can be said that we have done our duty towards our nation and our role as knowledge provide is justified.

Parul University came into being during April-2015 vide an Act of State Legislature viz., Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 and Gujarat Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act, 2015 and has made long strides in the field of education in Gujarat. The fact that the University offers more than 160 different undergraduate , post graduate and doctoral degree programmes through 34 institutions across 21 wide ranging Faculties such as Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Homoeopathy, Ayurved, Management, Law, Fine Arts, Design, Arts, Commerce etc….is a testimony to the commitment of the University for expanding in the area of higher education and the dedication of all stakeholders in providing a package of best managed delivery system. The University is spread over a sprawling 150 acres accommodating 100 academic blocks . The state-of-the-art university infrastructure also house the modern laboratories required for teaching and research purposes. The campus also boasts of excellent facilities for co-curricular activities of the students such as playground, gymnasium, swimming pool etc…
There are about 28,000+ students studying in the University which reflects the popularity of the University among the student community. It is a constant endeavour of the University to achieve excellence in delivering different programmes. The University has carved a niche for itself in the field of providing placement to the graduating students. Special Units of the University such as the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, the Career Development Cell, the Training & Placement Cell ensure the overall personality development of the students.
The University attracts a number of foreign nationals because of its outstanding global reach. At present, there are about 1200+ international students from 49 countries pursuing full time degree programmes in the University. A special cell by name “ International Students Affairs Cell (ISAC)” is dedicated for admitting foreign students and also to monitor their progress in the university. An International Relations Cell (IRC) is charged with the responsibility of conducting international student teacher exchange programmes in which students from abroad study in Parul University and students of Parul University are trained abroad.
In order to provide holistic medicare to the underprivileged sections of the society, the university has a 350 bedded multispeciality hospital. In addition, there are two ayurveda and homoeopathy hospitals each with a total capacity of 650 beds. AYUSH Hospitals of Parul University have the distinction of being accredited by NABH.
About Placements
The Training and Placement Cell of Parul University provides guidance and all the assistance to the students in order to achieve their career goals. Requisite emphasis is given for soft skills development complementing the regular academic programs. Aptitude tests, Group Discussions, Job oriented courses and special training programs are regularly conducted. PU also organizes guest lectures and invites visiting faculty members from renowned institutes for training students and faculty members as well. The Objective of the placement cell is to facilitate the process of placement & ensure that each eligible student gets an opportunity in the industries. The college is in the process of signing MOUs with many industrial organizations and industrial chambers to provide some of the best placements in India. Technical paper presentation contests are held in collaboration with industries to discuss new developments and trends. Our Alumni are presently working at India’s best corporate, ensuring high pay scale and job security. Other than this, we are hopeful of further improving our placement opportunities, activities and avenues in the near future while working in association with our powerful Alumni in Gujarat and across the country.
The Training& Placement cell emphasizes extensively on the training aspect of the students right from the first year itself. Designing of the training module is done with utmost diligence taking into consideration the requirements and expectations of the industry from the students before they join the organization.
In 2015, we have hired the best of training houses; which provides training in Selected Institutes across the country for imparting training to the students from first year. The students are trained on overall perspective starting from their

public speaking,
presentation skills,
language skills,
communication skills,
body language,
verbal ability,
mathematical aptitude,
logical reasoning,

Resume building and a lot more
The training modules on all the above aspects are purely experiential so that the students learn through execution rather than just through theoretical concepts. Advanced trainers train the students in a workshop module at regular intervals, which is later on taken over by our internal training team through Career and Development Cell (CDC) on daily basis.
The performance of the students in these trainings is evaluated through internal and external exams and the results of which helps students to earn credits in their overall semester results. This not only helps students to improve their overall semester performance but eventually also helps them to get a good job or prepare for competitive exams in the final year.
In the Prefinal & final year the training majorly focuses on preparing the students for clearing the campus placement process which usually comprises of Online/written test (aptitude & technical), Group discussion and Technical as well as HR interview.
Thus the training module at Parul University has been designed such that it not only helps students to get good jobs or assist in getting admissions in reputed institutes for further studies but also grooms an individual to become a confident, presentable, adaptable, well versed citizen who can fluently communicate at various levels in any organisation.
Scholarships & Financial Aid
Scholarship/freeship is a boon for students belongning to the weaker section of the society who are unable to further their education for some reason or the other. It is an incentive as well as encouragement for students who are talented but do not have the means to study further. Many types of scholarship/freeship are offered to students of Parul University such as merit-based, need-based, student-specific, career-specific and college-specific. Parul University offers Scholarship worth Rs. 5 Crores every year.

Admission Procedure
75% seats in all professional courses like B.Tech., M.Tech., B.A.M.S., B.H.M.S. etc. are filled by Admission Committee of the respective courses as per their guidelines.
25% seats under Management/NRI/All India quota in all professional courses are filled according to merit through the applications received on online admission portal www.puadmission.in
Eligibility criteria for admission in all the courses as decided by the admission committee are applicable to all the seats (including 25% Management seats).
All candidates applying for Management/NRI seats must go through the registration process of the admission committee and get their merit numbers allotted.
100% Seats of Non Professional courses like BBA, BCA etc. are filled according to merit of applications received on online admission portal www.puadmission.in
