Dr. Ramesh Kanwar has been the Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department (ABE) at Iowa State University. He has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, European Commission, UNDP, USAID, NATO and FAO etc. He was awarded Doctorate Degrees by Trakia University, Bulgaria and by the Georgian Agrarian University, Georgia. He has authored more than 500 publications including 167 refereed journal articles, 10 book chapters, and 90 conference papers.

The 106th Indian Science Congress perceives the theme of FUTURE INDIA – Science and Technology in order to provide platform to researchers, academicians and industry champions to share their findings with the scholars zealous to excavate scientific findings and also to instigate budding science and technology enthusiasts to do meaningful extradition for ever-growing industry need and sustainable socio-economic system. The 106th Indian Science Congress would be the festival to rejoice science and technology and would prove to be the showcase for what is being done, what can be done and what would define the future of Science and Technology in India. The 106th Indian Science Congress was graced by the presence of Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi, LPU becomes the first private university in India to host the Honourable PM . Cabinet ministers including HRD, Law, IT, Science and Technology visited LPU within 24 hours of each . Nobel Laureates and scientists from all over the world helped the millenials in imbibing the scientific fervour for shaping the emerging research in science and technology. K (Head HR, TimesPro) and other industry leaders, gave the microscopic inputs on ‘The Future of HR’, ‘Employee Lifecycle in Digital Era’ and ‘Putting HR in Drivers seat for workforce Innovation’. Mr. Satish Rajarathnam (Global HRBP Cognizant) moderated the session on ‘Developing a Culture of Digital Transformation’. Women leaders in the HR industry led the technical sessions that gave the students a first-hand experience of industry expectations, challenges and how to overcome them. These sessions were moderated by Ms Surabhi, Head HR, Lanxees. Human Resource’s role is not limited to recruiting the most suited workforce but extends to employee engagement and retention and increasing productivity. The same includes evaluation of employee performance and satisfaction and at the same time ensuring that the organization values are maintained. The conference proved to be fruitful and beneficial for the students who wish to make a career in this field.
